I graduated from Biola University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and for the last 25+ years have worked with mothers and babies in some capacity. I have worked in Pediatrics, NICU, Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery and Postpartum as a nurse. I am a Childbirth Educator, a Birth Doula, a Postpartum Doula and a Breastfeeding Counselor.
To say I wear many hats is an understatement. My life's calling is that of service and my love is for expectant families. I enjoy walking you through the exciting times of pregnancy, birth and the first few weeks of your postpartum journey. I support you in your choices and meet you where you are. I bring the calm to your situation as we navigate together learning all about pregnancy, walking through birth and postpartum together.
I consider myself a 'hospital' or birth center doula. I guess it has a lot to do with my nursing background. I support moms that want to have an unmedicated birth in the hospital, those that want the epidural as soon as they can have one and those that want to see how labor goes. I have also been that support for moms having a belly birth. If your desire is that of a home birth I have several doulas that I can refer you to and they are all amazing!
My husband and I have one grown daughter, a son-in-law and the cutest little grandson ever. He was born at a military hospital in Texas and I was so blessed to be there to watch him come earthside.
This is so much more than a job, this is my calling!  I've been lucky enough to have worked with more than 125 families over the course of my career. I'd love to get to know you!
